Temporary Cooling Tower System While Existing Tower Receives Maintenance

Problem

After an existing tower broke down and required maintenance, a need arose for a temporary tower to provide the cooling power necessary to continue operations.

Solution

Carrier Rental Systems created a portable 2,000 ton cooling tower system by utilizing a gravity feed system.

Application

Carrier Rental Systems installed a standby system of 2000 tons in order to prevent a failure with the customer’s existing tower system from delaying operations. The towers supplied by Carrier Rental Systems had to be installed at an elevation higher than the existing cooling tower system so as to facilitate a gravity feed from the temporary tower to the permanent tower system. The resulting cooling tower rental allowed operations to continue as normal. Carrier Rental Systems used steel pipe with Victaulic fittings to put the system together.
