A food processing facility required scheduled maintenance and the installation of additional piping on its ammonia-based freezers without affecting the temperature for which their inventory was stored. Any variation in space temperature, above the established standards, would have caused their inventory to spoil and subsequently be discarded at considerable financial cost the facility.
Carrier Rental Systems developed a system to maintain space temperature between 0-10F.
Carrier Rental Systems engineered and constructed a temporary brine freezer system which replicated the customer’s -20F supply brine temperature and -1.5F supply air temperature. The temporary system was placed into operation before the customer commenced the renovation project and remained as a standby back-up system while the customer tested the new piping system.
